THE PROCESS
After a broken wrist sidelined Kobe Bryant in 1999, teammate John Celestand was excited by the prospect of breaking his streak of always arriving to practice second behind Bryant. Much to Celestand's surprise, when he arrived at the team facilities, he was greeted with a sweaty Kobe Bryant training at full speed with just his left hand.
So much of what it takes to be great is one's ability to fully surrender to the process of relentless improvement and to accept that most of that work will be done behind closed doors, alone, with only your mettle and desire to hold yourself accountable.
